Dan Polk provides strategic vision and executive directions for Silicon Plains, North Dakota’s technology consulting and services leader. Throughout his 15-year career in technology services delivery, Polk has focused on identifying and maintaining strong relationships with the top talent in IT consulting and services. Polk has a reputation for designing and delivering IT services that break down barriers and exceed expectations.
Out of college, Polk’s knowledge and no-nonsense style in providing technology solutions have been requested by companies around the nation. Polk has served as VP, CSO and CIO for several technology companies, helping them build services and solutions around great teams and a servant leadership-based business culture.
Born in Everett, Washington, Polk has lived in North Dakota for three decades, and graduated from North Dakota State College of Science with multiple computing degrees. In the spirit of a life-long learner, Polk is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management. Polk now lives in Bismarck, North Dakota with his wife and three boys.

Scott McCarthy
Vice-President
Scott McCarthy brings years of successful and award-winning computer software development and project management leadership to Silicon Plains. McCarthy focuses on building strong foundations in projects he manages and in establishing communication and management structure that guarantee a positive, expected outcome for everyone involved.
Initially hired as a contract software developer, McCarthy has worked his way to Vice President inside two short years. McCarthy has proven that his passion for service and commitment to company and customer values is critical and necessary to support the company’s long-term success.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, McCarthy moved to North Dakota and graduated from University of North Dakota with a degree in Computer Science and now lives in Bismarck, ND with his wife and daughter.
